Helen Boyd

 

LOWER GREASEWOOD — Funeral services for Helen Pauline Boyd, 81, will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Rev. Ravi Kiran, Parochial Vicar will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 7 p.m., tonight, March 29, at Rollie Mortuary.

Boyd died March 27, 2011, in Chinle. She was born July 31, 1929, in Rehoboth, into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Boyd graduated from Ganado Mission School, attended college at Haskell for one year and received her associates from Fort Lewis College. She retired from GIMC in 1988 after 36 years of service.

Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia B. Begay of Lower Greasewood; brother, Notah Begay Jr. of Albuquerque; sisters, Patricia Damon of Window Rock, Lillian Boyd of Lower Greasewood, Velma Analla of Gamerco, Mitzie Begay of Window Rock; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Notah Begay Sr., Pauline Begay; husband, Keith J. Boyd; brother, Merwin Begay.

Pallbearers will be Keith Boyd, Garrison Boyd Begay, Ted Curley, Alvin Begaye, John Boyd Jr., Darryl Boyd.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 7 p.m., at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Michael Clyde

ST. MICHAELS — Funeral services for Michael Raymond Clyde, 27, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 31, at the Mary Mother of Mankind, St. Michaels Catholic Church. Joseph D. Gonzales will officiate. Burial will be in Charley-Chapeau Upshaw Memorial Cemetery.

Clyde died March 27, 2011, in Page. He was born May 29, 1983, in Fort Defiance, into the Folded Arms People Clan, On Who Walks Around People Clan for the Hairy Arm People Clan, Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

Clyde graduated from Window Rock High School in 2002. He worked in Page for operation and maintenance 1, on the railroad sides.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Carl; son, Mathew Clyde; parents, Joe Clyde Jr., Vivian Upshaw; sisters, Natasha Clyde, Navdaya Clyde; grandparents, Betty Clyde, Joe Clyde Sr., Julia Upshaw.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Upshaw, Garrett Notah, Garrison Willie, Ryan Clyde, Keith Carl, Malcolm Notah, Jonothan Begay, Raymond Metteba Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Michaels Chapter House, following services.

Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Edward Dick

PAYSON/SANDERS — Memorial services for Edward Michael Dick, 72, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, at Valley Baptist Church, Sanders


Dick was in the National Guard. He worked for Maricopa County, Dept of Agriculture and Fire Chief at Puerco Valley Fire Department in Sanders. He was a member of the Lions Club, Elks Club and Gideons.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Dick of Sanders; son, Kevin Dick of Payson, Michelle Spicer of Mesa; parents, Thomas and Helen Dick; brother, Rudyard Dick; three grandchildren.
